We are proud to announce that the ZEN DAC has once again been voted Best DAC under £200 by What HiFi?
The original ZEN DAC gained a 5 star review in 2020 and went on to win Best DAC under £200 and now we’ve done it again in 2021 with the ZEN DAC V2. Thanks, guys!
The ZEN range has had quite an amazing run with the What HiFi? team.
The ZEN CAN kick started this in March 2020 and was called a “solid, talented and capable little performer” and awarded a fantastic 5 stars with the verdict: “..if you’re after an affordable injection of clarity and detail for your wired headphones, iFi has it in the CAN.” Nice pun.
And in April 2020 the team reviewed the original ZEN Blue and had nothing but good things to say about our shapely Bluetooth DAC. For: Enjoyable and insightful sound. Digital outputs. Impressive build Against: Nothing
In January of this year, the team took a look at the ZEN Phono and declared “the presentation is immaculately clean. There will be components costing two or maybe even three times the price that will struggle to dig out this amount of information and deliver it with this level of clarity.” Praise indeed, and 4 stars, for our entry level phono stage and food for thought for vinyl lovers.
The ZEN range has been a huge success for us and it is now loved by many across the globe. In recent months, the updated ZEN Blue V2 and the new ZEN Stream have been added to the ZEN ‘stack’.
Our units can been used as individual components within an existing hi-fi system to add key functionality, for example, add Wi-Fi streaming with the ZEN Stream.
Or they can be a first step into ‘hi-fi’. The ZEN Blue and the ZEN CAN make a great beginners combo. Simply hook them up to a pair of bookshelf speakers and Bluetooth from your phone or laptop. The ZEN Phono helps to take that first turntable to the next level.
