It is a top-of-the-line headphone amplifier that is capable of driving anything and everything from the most sensitive custom iEMs to the AKG K-1000, the most difficult to drive headphone ever made.
Amp it up to ultra
Enhancements to the Pro iCAN Signature include:
- Revised circuit design incorporates even more ultra-grade audiophile components
- Upgraded power supply circuits to eradicate even more noise and distortion
- Top of the range iPower Elite offboard AC/DC power supply included
- Hand-selected and matched tubes in the output stage
- 4.4mm Balanced-headphone output
- New aluminium remote control
Beautifully balanced Pro power
The Pro iCAN Signature sports an end-to-end fully differential balanced circuit design that delivers ultra low distortion. This means extraordinary quality with minimal interference and reduced crosstalk. The sound is cleaner, deeper and more dynamic.
It is also exceptionally powerful and will drive any headphone on the planet. It boasts balanced output power of >14,000mW and single-ended power output of >4,800mW.
And with variable gain, you can adjust the Pro iCAN Signature to drive your headphone of choice.
To tube or not to tube…?
Or to Tube+? That is the question.
With the Pro iCAN Signature you can enjoy the sound of solid-state or tubes in one single package.
For some of your recordings, and depending on whether you are listening through headphones or speakers, you may prefer the ‘lively’ feel of solid-state or for others, the more ‘luxurious’ feel of Tube or Tube+.
The choice is yours at the flick of a switch in real time.
Signature by name…
The Pro iCAN Signature wouldn’t be ours without our signature sonic tweaks. Just like the original, it boasts XBass and 3D Holographic settings so that you can calibrate sound to suit your system and personal taste.
XBass is our analogue ‘bass boost’ that enhances the low frequencies without muddying the mid-range.
3D Holographic for Headphones undoes the negative sonic impact of listening to recordings that were originally created for loudspeakers.
3D Holographic for Loudspeaker Systems corrects the spatial distortion and restores the natural soundstage.
The Pro iCAN Signature boasts a plethora of fully balanced and single-ended connections.
Headphone connections include the new 4.4mm Balanced output as well as a fully balanced XLR, a single-ended 6.3mm and our unique S-Balanced 3.5mm output.
Our S-Balanced output cuts distortion by 50% with single-ended headphones connections.
Power is everything.
The Pro iCAN Signature, ships with our flagship iPOWER Elite.
Coupled with the re-crafted power supply board which is up to 300% quieter, the music is buttery smooth.
Within and without – we left no stone unturned in our quest for the cleanest, purest power for the Pro iCAN Signature (same for Pro iDSD Signature too!)
The new Pro iCAN Signature is full-differential balanced. That is, there are totally separate left & right channels with their own +/- all the way through.
This exquisitely engineered design costs more but the way it moves you and the music is worth it.
Check out the tech note for the details.
The iFi exclusive S-Balanced technology made its debut in the original Pro iCAN. Since then, it has become a significant feature in across the iFi range and features in the Pro iCAN Signature as expected.
It delivers the maximum performance from both single-ended and balanced headphones. The S-Balanced (single-ended compatible balanced) 3.5mm headphone output delivers the benefits of the balanced connection to single-ended headphones.

Amazing, versatile and powerful little amp.
IN MY OPINION, this amp offers better sound reproduction than the amps on my Burson Conductor 3 Reference, RME ADI-2 DAC FS, FiiO K9 Pro and iFi Neo iDSD. The multiple output / processing options are also a significant added touch: we have solid state, tube, tube+; standard headphone separation, narrow speaker separation, medium speaker separation and wide speaker separation; no bass boost, 10Hz boost, 20Hz boost and 40Hz boost. There are also 3 levels of gain available for headphone use (two levels for preamp use). I mostly listen to this set to tube output, medium separation and 10Hz boost to my Meze Elite via 4 pin XLR output. I can also listen to my FiiO FH5S Pro IEMs through the 4.4mm balanced output to good effect. This amp is amazing. Almost all my other cans also sound their best on it, from Sennheiser, to Denon, Focal, HiFiMan, Oppo and Audeze. Although my super detailed Audio Technica ATH-ADX5000 really sound their best on my silky smooth Feliks Audio Espressivo Mk II tube amp.
I’m good for now. No need to upgrade again for… I dunno, maybe a month?
Great option for HD Audio with Bluetooth
“Turns your premium headphones into a semi wireless option with ease. It also has a built in mic for when you get a phone call or notification on your phone.”
“…if you want hassle free wireless hi-fi and to be able to take your favourite iems/cans anywhere this is a solid choice and would recommend.”
Don’t just look – buy and listen!
I have tried a few similar devices in the past and was only impressed by the audio labs mdac nano in terms of sound quality. Unfortunately it was seriously let down on build quality.
The ifi Go Blu ticks all the boxes. Even my son who produces music at a professional level was blown away by the sound quality.
Build is a work of art and hardly put them down since they arrived. I have Grado 325s and RS2Es which it drives with ease and makes them sound better than ever.
Finally I have a wireless solution for music!
iFi audio GO blu – Another Perspective
Did you ever see an audio product that you thought you didn’t need but once you looked into it, you just had to have it?
According to Francisco Duran, the GO blu is THAT device. Read on…
“Honey, I shrunk the headphone amplifier and DAC.”.
Thanks to Malcolm J Gomes for his review of the iFi GO blu.
“Priced at $199, the GO blu is a good value for what it offers, especially since currently I know of no other product that can do exactly what the Go blu does, which is to offer a Bluetooth 5.1 connection to your source device in such a tiny package.”
“At its price point, I doubt you can do much better in the Bluetooth domain. The fact that the GO blu is so tiny and lightweight, makes it so easy to slip it into your pocket and enjoy your favorite tunes on the go.”
Great little guy
It’s amazing how much battery life and power this little guy has. Compared to my Zen Dac V1 the sound quality is almost equal but has a little less detail overall and notable less impact in the low end. It’s not nearly as bloaty and mushy as the hip dac V1, so that’s great. Listen to it all day on the go, very satisfied.
Gain is the amount of increase in audio signal strength. Gain is often expressed in decibels (dB).
IEMs stands for In-Ear Monitors.
These fit inside your ear. You’ve been using them for years. You just called them something else.
You will also see these referred to as earphones, ear buds and CIEMs. CIEMs are Custom In-Ear Monitors – IEMs made specifically to fit your ear shape.
The AKG K-1000 headphone has been around since about 1990. It is extremely high performance. AKG described it as an “ear speaker”.
Some say that it feels like you can reach out and touch the sound they produce, such is their visceral quality.
This is a type of audio circuitry topology that uses individual left & right channels.
It is a superior method to the single-ended circuit approach. Balanced circuits reduce noise and crosstalk. Less Interference – clearer sound.
You normally find this set-up in products at the higher end of the spectrum such as the original Pro iCAN but iFi is now using it across its product range to produce interference free audio.
A solid-state amplifier uses electronics such as diodes and transistors to amplify the music signal. A tube amp uses valves/vacuum tubes to do the same job.
There is a noticeable sound difference between the two methods. Some feel that tube amps create a warmer, more musical tone. Some companies choose to build ‘hybrid’ models that combine the two methods.
