Using headphone outputs to drive speakers?

We do not recommend using the headphone outputs to feed amplifiers. The problem is that 3.5mm output is matched to high sensitivity headphones and has very low output voltage at clipping of the amplifier ( 7V. This may or may not work, but they are really not intended as line out. It may be better to simply make (or purchase) a suitable adaptor to convert the speaker level feed to line level.
