Why does my AC iPurifiers polarity LED which is green with the connection, becomes red certain evenings? For example, the LED is green during the day and becomes red in the early evening.
Answer: The AC iPurifier polarity LED indicates that there is a significant voltage between neutral & earth, which normally indicates wrong polarity.
In this case, it seems to indicate poor bonding of earth and neutral, which may, or may not represent a safety hazard. If the earth remains solidly at “0V” then it merely indicates a high load that shifts the neutral potential far away from “0V” without consequences for electrical safety or the operation of the AC iPurifier.
