My power strip has no ground/earth, but I was actually under the impression that the AC iPurifier established a quasi-ground?
Answer: It does not nor can it, it can still reduce differential noise, but without a true earth/ground attached (either via earth connection on the back or from the mains) anything earth/ground related does not work.
