Connecting to your Android device with a cable should provide a decent connection. But what if it could be even better?

iFi’s audiophile grade OTG cables provide a super stable connection that supplies superior sound. OTG cables go between your phone and your DAC. We produce both the USB C and the micro version.

They transfer the digital signal from your phone into your DAC. This connection must be stable. That’s why we use a USB 3.0 ‘A’ female connector. It is proven to be a much more mechanically reliable connection. We believe you guys deserve the best, even in the small stuff.

Key Features

The USB 3.0 ‘A’ female connector provides a much more mechanically reliable connection, a factor that not many manufacturers take into account.

This fits directly into a flat Type A USB port of the micro or nano iDSD Black Label and ensures a strong and steady audio connection.

And it’s not just the insides that get the iFi treatment.

The cables are not only sonically superior but also super smart looking with a sexy ceramic finish to add that touch of class.

Our audiophile grade OTG cables are constructed from pure OFHC continuous cast copper, which conducts clean sound between your Android and DAC.

Perfect for use with Android phones. Our OTG cables extract a digital signal with ease.

We offer both micro USB and USB C options. The USB C version is 3.0 standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the most frequently asked questions about this product. For more product information please contact us through Contact

Are OTG cables similar to normal USB cables?

OTG is “On-The-Go” and is similar to a normal standard USB cable, except an additional pin is connected via a resistor. This resistor tells a phone or smart device, which is normally in “device mode” pretending to be a USB disk to switch into host mode, where it acts like a computer and can (for example) drive USB connected DAC’s.

How do OTG cables work if they aren’t standard USB cable?

OTG is exactly a standard USB cable, except an additional pin is connected via a resistor. This resistor tells a phone, which is normally in “device mode” pretending to be a USB disk to switch into host mode, where it acts like a computer and can (for example) drive USB connected DAC’s.

Why not make an Apple OTG cable?

This is because Apple cables have a chip inside to release the digital extraction whilst Android is different, its an actual resistor to short out a signal path.

Therefore one must use the official Apple cable.

My Pixel phone won’t connect to the DAC via the OTG cable

If you cannot connect your Pixel phone via the OTG cable, please go to Settings > OTG Storage > turn setting to On.

Will an OTG type C with a Mac’s USB C port?

As “OTG” adapters are also USB C to USB A converters for USB 2.0 only, they could be used on a MacBook, but again, you would need another cable to go into your DAC if not USB A female (for example, iDSD nano BL).
